Refund Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026 · Operator: Nyza Creations LLC
1. Overview
Nyza Events collects two kinds of money from users — recurring AI-subscription fees and one-time top-up credit purchases — and facilitates two more — payments from hosts to vendors, and payments from attendees to event organizers for tickets. This policy explains when each is refundable, by whom, and how. It supplements (and is incorporated into) our Terms of Service.
Crucially: Nyza never holds funds paid to vendors or organizers. Vendor payments flow through Stripe Connect directly into the vendor's Stripe account, and ticket payments flow into the organizer's Stripe Connect Express account (Nyza's platform fee on tickets is 0%). If you want a refund of money you paid a vendor, you ask the vendor. If you want a refund of a ticket you bought, you ask the organizer.
2. Subscription refunds ($10/mo plan)
- The Nyza Events paid plan is $10/month, billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel.
- 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month. If you upgrade to the paid plan and decide it's not for you within 14 calendar days, email billing@nyzaevents.com with the subject "Refund: first month" and we will refund the most recent subscription charge in full. This applies only to your first paid month per account and is not available if you have used the plan to send more than 1,000 credits' worth of paid actions.
- Renewals after the first month are non-refundable except as required by applicable consumer-protection law. Cancel any time from Account → Billing and you keep access until the end of the current period.
- Pro-rata refund for materially reduced service: if we materially reduce the paid plan's features mid-period and you cancel within 30 days of the change, we refund the unused portion of the current period on a pro-rata basis. See Terms § 14.
- Service outage refunds: if the Service is unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to a fault on our side, request a credit toward your next billing period equivalent to the affected days, capped at 30 days' subscription fee.
- Account closure mid-period: closing your account cancels future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of the current period unless required by law.
3. Top-up credit refunds
- Top-ups are $5 for 1,500 credits and $10 for 4,000 credits. They're one-time purchases that add credits on top of your monthly plan allowance.
- Top-ups become non-refundable once any of the credits have been consumed because the underlying cost (third-party AI inference, SMS, etc.) is incurred on use.
- Unused top-ups are refundable within 7 days of purchase. Email billing@nyzaevents.com with the subject "Refund: top-up" and the Stripe payment ID. We confirm zero consumption against the top-up and refund the original amount.
- Top-up credits do not expire. Monthly plan credits do not roll over.
- If your account is terminated for a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy, unused top-up credits are forfeited and non-refundable.
4. Free plan
The Free plan is $0. There is nothing to refund. You can downgrade from paid to free at any time; the downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Vendor-booking refunds
When you (a host) pay a vendor through Nyza, the money flows directly from your card via Stripe Connect into the vendor's Stripe account. Nyza is not party to the contract between you and the vendor and does not act as escrow, merchant of record, or money transmitter for that transaction.
- Refund eligibility, cancellation windows, deposit forfeiture, and dispute resolution are between you and the vendor, governed by whatever agreement, quote, or invoice you signed with them. Most vendors publish their cancellation terms on their profile or quote — read them before paying.
- To request a refund from a vendor, contact the vendor directly through Nyza messaging or off-platform. We surface the conversation thread for both sides to help.
- If a vendor agrees to refund you, they initiate the refund from their Stripe dashboard or via Nyza's booking page. The refund settles back to the original card within 5–10 business days, per Stripe's standard timing.
- If the vendor refuses a refund you believe you are entitled to, you may (a) escalate via Stripe's dispute / chargeback process; (b) contact us at hello@nyzaevents.com and we may, in our discretion, act as a good-faith mediator; (c) pursue the vendor through small-claims court or other legal remedy.
- Nyza is not obligated to refund money it never held. In limited cases — vendor fraud, vendor disappearance, vendor bankruptcy — we may, at our sole discretion and as a goodwill gesture, offer credit toward future Nyza services. This is discretionary and does not create a precedent or guarantee.
- Vendors who repeatedly fail to honor their published cancellation terms, refuse merited refunds, or generate disproportionate dispute rates may be suspended or removed from the marketplace.
6. Event ticket refunds (buyers)
When you buy a ticket to an event listed on Nyza, the organizer is the merchant of record. Your payment settles directly into the organizer's Stripe Connect Express account; Nyza takes a 0% platform fee on the ticket and does not hold your money.
- Per-organizer refund policy. Each event lists the organizer's refund policy on the public event page. The platform default is "All sales final" — organizers may post a more generous policy (e.g., refunds up to N days before the event), and that posted policy is binding on both the organizer and the buyer. Read it before buying.
- Automatic refund on event cancellation. If the organizer cancels the event outright through Nyza, every valid ticket is automatically refunded to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, regardless of the organizer's stated refund policy. The organizer's Stripe balance is debited for the refund amount plus the Stripe processing fee retained by Stripe.
- Postponements and venue changes do not automatically trigger refunds. The organizer's posted refund policy governs; if it's silent, the original ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date.
- Buyer-initiated refunds (within posted policy). Request a refund from the organizer first — through the order confirmation email or by replying to the ticket confirmation. The organizer processes the refund from their Stripe dashboard or via the Nyza order page; the refund settles to your original card within 5–10 business days per Stripe's standard timing.
- If the organizer refuses a refund you believe you are entitled to: (a) escalate via your card issuer's standard dispute process; (b) email hello@nyzaevents.com and we may, in our discretion, act as a good-faith mediator and review the organizer's posted policy against the situation; (c) pursue the organizer directly under applicable consumer-protection law.
- Chargeback liability. Card-network chargebacks on ticket sales are the organizer's financial liability. If a chargeback is upheld, the disputed amount plus Stripe's dispute fee is debited from the organizer's Stripe balance; if that balance is insufficient, Nyza may deduct the amount from the organizer's future payouts. Buyers who initiate chargebacks without first contacting the organizer may have their tickets cancelled and may be barred from future ticket purchases on Nyza — see our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Goodwill credit. In limited cases (organizer disappearance, organizer bankruptcy, organizer fraud) where Stripe cannot recover the disputed amount from the organizer, Nyza is not obligated to refund the buyer but may, at our sole discretion, offer a goodwill credit or partial reimbursement. This is discretionary and does not create precedent.
7. How refunds work through Stripe
All refunds — for Nyza subscriptions, top-ups, and vendor bookings — are processed via Stripe and settle to your original payment method. Stripe's standard processing fee on the original charge (2.9% + 30¢ in the US, varies internationally) is not returned to Nyza or the vendor by Stripe on a refund; we still issue the full refund you are entitled to under this policy, absorbing that fee ourselves on Nyza-side refunds. Refunds usually appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
8. Chargebacks & disputes
If you believe a charge from Nyza is wrong, please contact us first at billing@nyzaevents.com. Almost all issues can be resolved within 24–72 hours.
Initiating a card chargeback for a transaction you authorized — without first giving us a chance to resolve it — is a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy. We will respond to the chargeback with documentation; if the chargeback is reversed, you may also be liable to Stripe for the dispute fee.
9. EU / UK statutory rights & cancellation
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right of withdrawal for 14 days from the conclusion of a distance contract (e.g., your subscription start). However, by starting to use a digital subscription during that window — for example, using the AI co-pilot or generative tools — you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right for content already delivered. You can still cancel future renewals at any time.
Nothing in this Policy limits your non-waivable rights under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or comparable local consumer-protection law.
10. Taxes
Refunds include any tax we charged on the original transaction. Where Stripe collected sales tax, VAT, or GST on our behalf, that tax is refunded along with the underlying charge.
11. How to request a refund
- Email billing@nyzaevents.com from the address on your Nyza account.
- Include a clear subject line: "Refund: first month", "Refund: top-up", "Refund: subscription error", or similar.
- Include the Stripe payment ID if you can find it (visible in your billing history).
- Briefly describe the reason — even one line is fine.
- We respond within 2 business days, and the refund (if approved) settles within 5–10 business days from approval.
